Making sure you have a decent breakfast is probably on of the best things you can do to get your quick weight loss diet off to a great start each morning.

Not many people consider having a cooked breakfast nowadays, mainly because it is considered too time consuming. In actual fact, there is little additional time involved, and the nutritional benefits are immense. But there are still many alternatives breakfast diet recipes you can choose from.

Incidentally, you will notice in many of the widely available low carb high protein breakfast recipes that fresh herbs are included, both for flavor and nutrition. But how are you to obtain fresh herbs every morning? Simply grow them yourself, either in the garden or in pots on the window-ledge. They are easy to grow, require little effort, cost very little to buy initially and are instantly available.

The difference fresh herbs make to even the simplest of weight loss dishes is immeasurable and the cost factor insignificant.

For breakfast you are allowed to break some of the golden rules of the low carb diet: occasionally you will see a little milk included in a recipe, or a teaspoon of sugar, or even a tablespoon of flour. These small quantities in a recipe for several people will make no difference to the overall carbohydrate content of the diet, and will improve the taste immensely.

Eggs

Eggs, in any form, are included to great effect, in terms of both healthy diet and gastronomic pleasure, in our breakfast menu. They are very high in protein, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, with virtually no carbohydrate content, and the fat ensures a slow, even absorption of food.

The potential variations on delicious recipes in which this versatile food can be used are almost limitless. Eggs can be included in pretty much any meal in a quick weight loss diet, but for breakfast it’s best to stick with recipes that are quick to prepare, easy to eat and provide a lot of nutrition and taste. If you eat a tasty breakfast it puts you in a good mood for the rest of the day.
